I'm a commercial photographer, or now I can say I used to be a full time photographer, now I'm ALSO a ceramics artist.

 

I remember as a little girl just quivering from the thought of touching clay and having it dry on my hands, it felt so flaky and rough...

When I gave birth to my first boy I wanted to treat myself to something that is just mine, a place to escape to for that me time calming feeling. At the time I became very close with my next door neighbor who just happened to be a florist AND a wonderful ceramic artist and teacher. I decided to take a course at her studio and it was absolute love at first touch!!

Since then, pottery was the most consistent thing in my life, during the pandemic, when I couldn't go to the studio I even rented a wheel that sat happily in my back yard! That was the seed that was planted and made me realize how much joy and comfort I receive from creating pottery. As A mom and independent artist I get to spend time with my family and do what I love.
